Professional Profile:

Geoff is a Learning & Performance Consultant for the Learning & Performance Institute, advising, mentoring and working with Learning Managers – under the umbrella of the Institute’s Accreditation Programme ‐ enabling them to work towards best practice in all aspects of learning within their organisations. A number of departmental/organisational functions are audited, including the integrity of the training unit, the performance evaluation and development of the L&D professionals, and the pre‐ and post‐intervention processes. Geoff is also an online learning facilitator, tutoring participants on the Institute’s renowned COLF (Certified Online Learning Facilitator) workshop since 2011, and on the CDOL (Certificate in Designing Online Learning) workshop. A member of the LPI (and the former IITT) since 1997; elected a Fellow of the LPI in 2007, and a full chartered member of the CIPD since 1991.

In addition to his work with the LPI, Geoff works with learning teams and management within private and public sector organisations to analyse learning needs and to design – and often deliver ‐
appropriate business skills learning solutions to match the need.

Prior to freelancing in 2002, Geoff worked full time for a number of organisations – large and small over a period of 22 years ‐ in a learning and development capacity. These include :

Before this, Geoff spent several years working as a mathematics, science and IT teacher in secondary schools and adult education.

Recent Projects:

Geoff has advised upon and undertaken a number of computer software upgrade projects, ensuring that the learning input into the project has been effective, robust and with measurable outcomes, while maintaining a vision of the small detail which contributes to the success of the project. Such consultancy has been undertaken with a London‐based international law firm, a local government organisation, a global pharmaceutical company and to the Lloyd’s of London corporation.
