Professional Profile:

My practice builds on 15 + years’ diverse L&D experience. I have led EMEA programs and multi-functional teams for the likes of Microsoft and the British Army, with experience in technology, professional services, manufacturing, defence, public services and health and also led performance programs in small and medium sized businesses. I build robust leaders and successful teams and also work to achieve fit-for-purpose L&D functions especially in growing tech-enabled businesses or organisations going through change. I have a commercial mindset and understand the resilience required to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Clients and colleagues remark on my energy and an ability to get to the point quickly and I enjoy designing and leading as well as working in teams.

Based on experience, I tailor interventions to each situation – no two athletes training for an event follow identical training regimes and I believe the same is true for individual and team performance in business. I take time to listen and observe before designing interventions based on the particular purpose. Similarly, athletes continually adjust their approach based on new data – in the same way, I encourage leaders to get started rather than to wait for a perfect theoretical model. The purpose is unchanged, but experience helps to accelerate performance.
