It seems that everyone is jumping on the virtual classroom bandwagon as a new way to deliver learning during the coronavirus lockdown. But this approach isn’t new at all. In fact, it’s a mature technology that’s been around since 2003. Long before anyone had heard of COVID-19, virtual classrooms were proving, again and again, to be a viable alternative to F2F training.
Yet even now – with F2F training effectively halted – there are still challenges with executive buy-in, skills gaps and IT implementation that are preventing organisations from enjoying significant business ROI and performance improvement.
