Membership of the Learning and Performance Institute demonstrates your commitment to professionalism and personal development. Institute membership sets you apart from other learning professionals giving you industry recognition for your skills as well as your experience.

Affiliate

Details:

Open to anyone in the learning and development profession who wishes to belong to a professional body in the learning/ performance field. Predominately membership is made up of training and HR professionals, but is also applicable to professionals within related areas such as sales, marketing, administration, students, etc.

Associate (ALPI)

Details:

In order to become an Associate of the Institute applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant combination of experience and qualifications to join at Associate level:

Applicants awarded Associate status will be afforded the post-nominals ALPI.

Qualification: Level 3 or above qualification in Learning & Development/Training or 3 years' relevant experience.

Member (MLPI)

Details:

In order to become a full Member of the Institute applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant combination of experience and qualifications to join at Member level:

Applicants awarded full Member status will be afforded the post-nominals MLPI.

CPD: Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have a commitment to continuous personal development.

Qualification: Level 3 or above qualification in Learning & Development/Training or 5 years' relevant experience.

Fellow (FLPI)

Details:

Fellowships are awarded at the discretion of the Institute to applicants who can demonstrate they are:

  • A recognised and acknowledged expert within the Learning and Performance community and beyond.
  • Continuously seeking to maintain high professional standards.
  • Contributing significantly to the advancement of the Learning profession.

Applicants awarded Fellowship status will be afforded the post-nominals FLPI.

CPD: Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have a commitment to continuous personal development.

Qualification: Applicants would normally hold a minimum 5 years’ relevant experience and a recognised qualification. If no qualification, applicants must have minimum of 7 years’ experience.

Corporate Membership

Details:

Corporate membership can be purchased for some or all individuals within a learning team.

Corporate membership develops a skilled and connected team by ensuring all members belong to a professional body and giving them status with LPI post-nominals.
