IITT IS INCORPORATED
Life begins on October 15th 1995 as the Institute of IT Training (IITT) is formed.
1995
IITT TRAINING AWARDS LAUNCHED
Later to become The Learning Awards – celebrating the highest achievers in L&D.
1997
ACCREDITATION SERVICES CREATED
Raising the profile of L&D providers, technologies, departments and facilities.
1998
WEBINAR SERVICE GOES LIVE
Free service for L&D community.
2002
ACCREDITATION REACHES 500 ORGANISATIONS
USER CONFERENCE CREATED
IITT organises the first IT Trainer’s Conference (now LEARNING LIVE).
2004
TRAINING PROFESSIONAL NETWORK LAUNCHED
IITT launches the Training Professional Network as an open forum for the L&D community.
2006
LEARNING SURVEY
The first Learning Survey is released to research trends in the L&D sector.
IITT TRAINING AWARDS REBRANDED TO THE LEARNING AWARDS
Several new categories added as the event grows more global.
2007
LEARNING DIRECTORS NETWORK LAUNCHED
IITT launches the Learning Directors Network to cater for the needs of L&D providers.
2008
FELLOWS’ SYMPOSIUM CREATED
The Fellows’ Symposium is created for senior members of the Institute.
2009
TRAINER PERFORMANCE AND MONITORING ASSESSMENT (TPMA) LAUNCHED
A versatile certification for individuals and departments, ensuring training delivery is of consistent quality across the organisation.
WORK BEGINS ON A CERTIFCATE FOR LIVE ONLINE FACILITATION
ITT responds to the early-adopter market for live online learning and virtual classrooms.
2010
CERTIFIED ONLINE LEARNING FACILITATOR (COLF) LAUNCHED
IITT leads the industry by being the first to offer a certification in virtual classroom facilitation.
2011
1000th ORGANISATION ACCREDITED
CORPORATE RE-BRANDING TO THE LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE
Institute of IT Training (IITT) rebrands as Learning & Performance Institute (LPI) to serve the wider needs of the L&D market.
2012
CLO CONNECT LAUNCHED
LPI creates CLO Connect, a network for learning leaders.
CAPABILITY MAP
LPI launches Capability Map to provide de facto skills tracking for learning professionals as well as a ‘common language’ for the workplace learning sector.
2013
CDOL INTRODUCED
Certificate in Designing Online Learning (CDOL) is developed to meet the needs of virtual classroom course designers.
2014
LPI OPERATIONS EXPANDED
Reseller services made available for Australia and New Zealand markets.
CONSULTING SERVICES LAUNCHED
LPI develops consultancy service, bringing over 450 years L&D experience on board.

BENELUX EXPANSION
LPI expands into BeNeLux market.

DIGITAL LEARNING PIONEER
